OpenStudy (hectoroftroy):

A mutation is a change to the actual genetic code that makes up a chromosome, as in the bases change to bases they shouldn't be. Dominance describes the relationship between two genes. Electrophoresis is a lab experiment - when a molecule like a protein or a piece of DNA is pulled through basically a mesh. Small molecules travelling through the holes in the mesh faster than big molecules. It's like a molecular sieve. And nondisjunction is when chromosomes fail to separate properly during meiosis.
