The table shows the results of a spinner with four colored sections. Use the table to answer the question.

The spinner is spun 50 more times.

Which is the best prediction for the number of times the spinner will stop on black?

I've thought this problem out a little bit, and I came up with 13; I don't really know the answer though.

Here's how I thought through it, however.

We know that there are 4 colored sections, and this is very important information. We also know how many hits we collected on each color; but I think that's unneeded info. Why? Because whatever happens in the future, we know that each color has a 1/4 chance of getting picked. If we're trying to find how many hits black can get after 50 spins, then we don't have to utilize the fact that black was picked 10 times in the past.

So I said, okay, out of 50 times, how many hits MIGHT black collect? I multiplied 50 by 1/4, got 12.5, but I know you can't get 12.5 total hits, so I rounded up to 13.
