Animal cells have a vacuoles. They do not have a cell wall but this is not essential to producing its own food. because chloroplast aids in photosynthesis, which is used for plants to produce their own food

the chloroplast is what produces food in Plant cells through photosynthesis. Animal cells do not contain chloroplasts.
