8. Find the vertex of the parabola formed by the following quadratic function: y = -3x2 + 12x - 7 A. (-2,-43) B. (2, 5) C. (-1, -22) D. (1, 2)

OpenStudy (ranga):

Complete the square and rewrite the function in vertex form.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

When you have the parabola in standard form \(y = ax^2 + bx +c\), the x-coordinate of the vertex is at \(\large-\frac{b}{2a}\) and you can find the y-coordinate by plugging that into the equation as \(x\).
