A circle has a diameter of 11.4 . find the area of the circle. **fan & medal**
C = 2(pi)r or C=(pi)d
You don't need to fan me for this. The area of a circle is (pi)r^2 The radius of a circle is half the diameter. Just plug in the numbers.
What rere just gave you is the formula for circumference
Yes @Littlebird all he has to do is plug in the numbers into the equation.
whats pi? @rere234 @Littlebird
does the area =22.4? @Littlebird @rere234
There is usually a symbol for pi on your calculator. Some problems allow you to just use 3.14.
so 6.28? @Littlebird
@ littlebird you didn't make a model as I showed you
Your diameter is 11. Area=pir^2 or.... Pi times the radius squared For area..... pi x (11.4/2)^2 3.14 x 5.7^2 3.14 x (5.7x5.7) 3.14 x 32.49
I meant to say 11.4 for the diameter

please answer
A box?
for @allay's Question
so 102.0186 @Littlebird
Yes When you do problems like this in the future, ask your teacher if he/ she wants you to use pi from the calculator or just 3.14. Also, make sure to ask them to what place they'd like you to round to.
thanks for your help! @Littlebird
