Are you familiar with the FOIL method?

try this formula. (x+a)(x-b)=x^2 +(a+b)x +ab

ok...so what I remember is the eyebrows, eyebrows, nose, mouth method. Its a bit strange but I've known its what I use. you want to first multiply the first terms from each bracket (ie. the x with the x). Then you multiply the second terms from each bracket (ie. 1 and -6). Next you multiply the two terms in the middle (ie. 1 and x). Then the outside terms (ie. x and -6). Try that. Oh, and the reason why its called eyebrows eyebrows nose mouth is because that's what it looks like....|dw:1397036853585:dw|
