In pea plants, the allele for yellow seeds (Y) is completely dominant to the allele for green seeds (y). If a population is in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and the frequency of Y is 0.6, what would you expect to see in the next generation of 150 plants?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90 plants with yellow seeds and 60 plants with green seeds 118 plants with yellow seeds and 38 plants with green seeds 126 plants with yellow seeds and 24 plants with green seeds 135 plants with yellow seeds and 15 plants with green seeds

draw a punate square! it will help alot

Ugh still don't know how to solve this though. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would I find 60% of 150 to get the yellow seeds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well look at the punate square and count all your phenotypes, then put them into fractions then divide by the total number of plants. i think thats right tho

oh thank you!
