If f(x) = 4x + 1 and g(x) = 3x + 2, what is f(g(x)) ?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

f(g(x)) means you take the equation you have for g(x) ...and you plug it into f(x) everywhere you see an 'x' so g(x) = 3x + 2 and f(x) = 4x + 1 so after replacing the 'x' with g(x) we have f(g(x)) = 4(3x + 2) + 1 Can you take it from there?

i can try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute g(x)in f(x)........ .
