Little confused...question states, what is the possible values of m subscript l for each value of l? They give 3 as l, but what is confusing me is how to figure this out without knowing n. Could someone please help?

They have to specify $l$.


 n= any positive integer

$\large l=\pm (n-1)$ ..to zero

$\large m_l=\pm l$ ..to zero


so if $l$=3

$\large m_l=\pm 3$ to zero, so $\large m_l=-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2,+3$
