Well, depending on how strong or convincing each side or party is can influence a certain voter to take a side. Depending on the election issues and how the campaigns are can affect what a voter might choose ~ a voter can also be influenced by what his/her moral values are ~ and whichever party seems to cover these values will most likely receive a vote from that individual.
