So lost and need help fast 6. A garden store has the following miscellaneous flower bulbs in a basket: 6 amaryllis 7daffodils 4 lilies 3 tulips A customer bought 4 bulbs from the basket, one of each type of flower. If the next customer selects 1 of the remaining bulbs at random. which is closest to the probability that customer will get an amaryllis buld?
so there's 6 + 7 + 4 + 3 Add that altogether to get a whole out of that. Then minus one of each to get the remaining number of bulbs left. so 6 + 7 + 4 + 3 = 20
then minus one from each type of flower, so 5, 6, 3 and 2
the answers are 30% 31% 38% and 45%
minus 4 from 20 to get 16 so 5/16, 6/16, 3/16 and 2/16 simplify if you can so you get 5/16 amaryllis 3/8 daffodils 3/16 lilies 1/8 tulips If you then divide the numerator by the denominator you'll get a percentage. 5/16 is your answer, but in percentage form, that being 31
i just dont get how to get the % of the answer
ok i c
yep :)
thx
