If given f(x) = x + 4 and g(x) = –2x2 + 3x – 1, what is (f – g)(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first expand the (f-g)(x) = fx-gx now substitute the equations given for these 2 components (x+4)-(-2x^2+3x+1) then expand them x+4+2x^2-3x-1 now collect the like terms 2x^2-2x+3
