How would I answer this question if I'm going to Puerto Rico: ¿Adónde vas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yo voy a Puerto Rico

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Voy a puerto Rico is better. In Spanish language is not necessary to use the pronoun always, because the conjugated verbal form is indicating for itself the pronoun. In the same way, it is not correct to start a paragraph with the personal pronouns. You can use the personal pronouns when you want to remark the idea or person.

Thank you! I was incredibly confused between the two, but that makes sense. :)
