please help!!!! :( :( :/ :/ the graph below shows a company's profit f(x) in dollars, depending on the prices of pens x, being sold by the company. part a) what do the x intercepts and maximum value of the graph represent?what are the intervals where the function is increasing and decreasing and what do they represent about the sale and profit? part b)if at one time the profit of the company was at least 60 dollars, what domain could possible produce this profit? c)what is an approximate average rate of change of the graph from x=3 to x=5 and what does this rate represent?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

a) what do the x intercepts and maximum value of the graph represent? \(\large \text{do u know what does x intercept means ?}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its where the line crosses on the x axis of the graph?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

yess ur correct in other way , its x values that make the function f(x)=0 , so in ur graph what are the x intersect ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

humm well 0 is f(x) value at x intersect when it ask abt x intersect that mean what is the x values here a sketch not neat but i hope its good :P |dw:1397167489458:dw|

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

here x1, x2 are x intersect u can see that f(x1)=0 and f(x2)=0 so what is x1, x2 value ? |dw:1397167673837:dw|
