okay well you can do it backwards too. basicly you only look at the numbers. multiplying the first term and the last term would be -36 (because theres nothing in front of the x^2) and oncee youve done that you figure out all the different combinations that multiply to -36
such as
-6*6
-3*12
3*-12
-9*4
9*-4

Pre-Cal, Algebra I & II were easy for me and top of my class. Now, they make me drop down from that, the formula in Algebra I do not work for Pre-Algebra!

ive never even heard of pre algebra .-. thats weird, because they shouldn't make you take a beginning class when your at a calculus level

Thats what I was saying. But, no James Madison Online High School says you need Pre-Algebra to graduate! I have never took anything lower then Algebra, starting in 7th grade til 9th grade. I took 2yrs Algebra I because middle school 7th-8th because they couldnt put me in anything higher, then 9th grade rolls around, they put me back in Algebra I. I SWEAR CMCSS is so stupid.
