OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the midpoint of the line segment whose endpoints are given. (9,5),(6,3)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

To find the midpoint of a line segment connecting two points, take the average of the x coordinates to get the x coordinate of the midpoint, and take the average of the y coordinates to get the y coordinate of the midpoint.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

The way to do it is to find how far apart the two points are first. Subtract x^2-x^1, and y^2-y^1.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

^ indicates an exponent, not a subscript.
