The process by which hot and cold air are transferred in the atmosphere is

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Well we can eliminate radiation because that doesn't really have anything to do with hot and cold air.

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

So that leaves conduction, convection, and insulation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its convection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt it?

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Conduction is the process by which heat or electricity is directly transmitted through a substance when there is a difference of temperature or of electrical potential between adjoining regions, without movement of the material. Convection is the movement caused within a fluid by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity, which consequently results in transfer of heat. Insulation is protect (something) by interposing material that prevents the loss of heat or the intrusion of sound.

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Yeah, its convection lol. (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks.
