Suppose "x<4" is false. Write a valid conclusion.

OpenStudy (ranga):

If x is less than 4 is false it means x is greater than or equal to 4.

OpenStudy (ranga):

Opposite of "less than 4" is "greater than or equal to 4" So "x is less than 4" is false implies "x is greater than or equal to 4" is true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for my conclusion I can say, "x is less than 4" is false implies "x is greater than or equal to 4" is true."

OpenStudy (ranga):

correct.

Thanks! are you up for a few more easy questions?

Here is my next question... :)

OpenStudy (ranga):

Given:\[\Large x \lt 4 ~is~false\] Conclusion:\[\Large x \ge 4 \]

OpenStudy (ranga):

I have to log off in a minute or so but I will answer the first part: ABCD is NOT a parallelogram (given) All squares are parallelograms (given). Conclusion: Since ABCD is not a parallelogram it cannot be a square. Therefore, ABCD is neither a parallelogram nor a square.
