well this is the question (-2x^2+6y-6) - (-4x^2-y) => -2x^2 + 6y - 6 + 4x^2 +y add the terms which have got x^2 with each other those of y with each other and the constant terms with each other :)

2x^2 +7y -6

so basically all you do is combine like terms ?
