hi:} two lines defined by the equation y=2x+4 & y=3x+b where m and b are constant, intersect at the point (6,10) what is the value of b +m??

hartnn (hartnn):

to find the point of intersection, solve the equations of lines simultaneously ! y= 2x+4 y= 3x+b so, 2x+4 = 3x+b and since intersection point has x= 6 just plug in x = 6 in this and you'll get b
