what is physical significane of momentum

So Momentum is actually mass times velocity and what it tells you is how difficult it will be to stop or slow down a moving object for example a large truck moving fast will be very difficult to stop - it would take a strong prolonged force to stop it from continuing down its path. So... I would say the momentum is related to the force needed to stop a moving object or the difficulty to stop a moving object. :]
