Your absolutely right! The U.S portrays America as the greatest country in the world.
They told us that Americans were the greatest people -- that America could be refined like silver, could have the impurities hammered out of it, and shine more brightly!
We talk about how precious America WAS-- how we needed to make sure it remained great!
And we thought that anything was justified to preserve that great treasure, that pearl of great price that is America!

Rights come from religious beliefs. Rights come from nature. Rights come from agreements between well educated philosophers/governments/creators. Every living organisms have it’s own rights(I’m not sure about this). People get rights because it is a basic need for human. It’s freedom. Rights help people to get treated what they deserved. People loose rights when they violated other peoples’ rights. And also when they die. If someone takes away your rights, by using force or by other forms of violence, you have to fight back. Usually the government is the one who interferes our rights and controls them. They take away basic freedoms by having power and there’s nothing we can do about it as an individual, unless we form a group and protest.
