OpenStudy (muzzack):

What would you expect to happen to the energy while a piece of paper is burning? There would be more energy before the paper is burned than after the paper is burned. There would be more energy after the paper is burned than before the paper is burned. The amount of energy before and after the burning paper depends on the heat of the flame. There is the same amount of energy before the paper is burned and after the paper is burned.
