there is a blood test...to test for hiv..also i guess another method called ELISA is done...

HIV testing includes ELISA test, Western Blot, PCR test for viral load, CD4 count, Virus isolation or co-culturing, Moratorium on HIV testing and etc.. so, we can easily detect the HIV or AIDS by using this techniques.
