Karl Marx

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Good job @wwhitlock : Karl Marx did write The Communist Manifesto. Marx lived in a time where there were a lot of industrial jobs, and he noticed that there was a big difference between the property owners (e.g. CEOs) and those who worked on a property (e.g. the guys who got minimum wage inside a factory). Marx argued that there would always be a big gap between property owners and those without property as long as capitalism existed. The reason was that the point of a business, in a capitalist system, is to make money. The only way for a business to make money is to pay a worker less than what he brings to the company.
