Which of these could you use to separate a mixture of sand and salt? Filtration, evaporation, magnetism, or distillation?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

is salt soluble in water? is sand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well from my understanding (i really hope you read up these terms), the salt is soluble in water while the sand is not. I think filtration does the job. However, if you want the salt only, evaporation could work. Hope this helped ^_^

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hm you would have to filtrate it even if you only wanted the salt, evaporating would be the next step in the recovery.
