Simplify (1 − sin x)(1 + sin x).

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well we get \[\large 1 -sin(x) + sin(x) - sin^2(x)\] \[\large 1 - sin^2(x)\] Remember from the identity that \(\large sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1\) to say that this is simplified down to \[\large cos^2(x)\]

Thank you very much :)
