please check answer 1 and help with question 2 solve the equation by graphing the related function if the equation has no real-number solution write no solution 1. 3x^2 = 0 my answer below ***first divide each side by 3 so x^2 = 0 now eliminate the exponent so the answer is x = 0*** 2. 1/2x^2 + 1 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second one has no real solution because \(x^2\geq 0\) always and so \(x^2+1\geq 1\) i.e. it is never zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for the first one i don't need to say no real solution and the second one i say no real solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one you solved and got zero that is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second one has no solution for sure at least no real solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank yo so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you graph it as asked for, you will see that the graph lies entirely above the x axis, and since it does not cross it or touch it, it is never zero
