hmmm well we know that 1 dozen is 12 muffins
so 2 dozen is 24 muffins.. that's doubling the recipe which is multiplying everything by 2

Half of a dozen is 6... and you need to make 18,,, so you need to multiply everything by one and a half.... a.k.a 1.5 in decimal form
