Whites accused Chinese workers on the West Coast of A. taking “white” jobs. B. claiming the best land. C. destroying “Oriental” schools. D. attacking railroad property.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. This is plausible, but most Chinese Americans couldn't get "white" jobs, much less take them. B. Most of the land on the West Coast would have been claimed at this time, and many Chinese-Americans didn't have much money anyways. C. Oriental schools are segregated schools for those of Asian descent. Would white Americans care about the quality of these schools? D. This option is plausible as Chinese-Americans helped build the transcontinental railroad and would often rebel against harsh treatment. Hope this helps.
