How do defined terms and undefined terms relate to each other?

In all areas of math, there are undefined terms... These are things that we believe and base our other ideas on... For example, in geometry, a point is one of those ideas. Just like the chicken and egg idea, you need a starting point... Once you have one, you can build on that...

@paki: It is entirely inappropriate to ask for a medal. Some ('though not all) students who know a good response from a helper do give medals.
