A gardener brought 5 rabbits, after 2 months rabbits became 10, and after 4 months they became 20. If the growth continues on the same ratio, what would be the amount of rabbits after 1 year? (a) 300 (b) 435 (c) 535 (d) 635

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

it doubles every 2 months \[P = 5 (2^{t/2})\] where t is num of months plug in t=12

OpenStudy (paki):

@dumbcow 5(64)= 320...... rite...

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yeah not sure why its not one of the options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

320 is not in options

OpenStudy (paki):

yeah its not in the options.... let me try some other way...

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

there is no other way answer is 320 the given answers are wrong:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.

OpenStudy (paki):

@areej777 if we divide 300/12... we get 25... and the other values too... they increase in order... this 25 is the smallest one... and we also know this that the 5 rabbits are increasing per month... so by method of elimination the answers, the first option goes ok...
