Find the volume of a cone with a diameter of 5 inches and a height that is 3 times the radius. Use 3.14 for pi and round your answer to the nearest hundredth. I know the formula is V= 1/3 (pi r^2) x (h)

if you know the formula then to find the measurements is the only thing you need to do... i believe you an do this problem without assistance.

*can

Everytime I do the problem, I don't get the answer right. That's why I need help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well you know that the radius is half the diameter so r=2.5 the height is 3x that h=7.5 you can solve from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH. that's where I was getting it wrong. I thought the height was 3 itself. Okay thank you!
