Can someone help me understand this?

Part 1:
Solve each of the quadratic equations below and describe what the solution(s) represent to the graph of each. Show your work to receive full credit.
0 = x2 + 5x + 6
0 = x2 + 4x + 4
Part 2:
Using complete sentences, answer the following questions about the two quadratic equations above.
Do the two quadratic equations have anything in common? If so, what?
What makes y = x2 + 4x + 4 different from y = x2 + 5x + 6?

Part 1:
Alright. If you use FOIL (First, outside, inside, last), you'll have to figure out which two numbers, when added together will give you 5 and when multiplied will give you 6.
For the second equation, it's the same thing. Find the numbers, when added, will give you 4, and when multiplied, give you 4.

Then you can plug in those numbers into these blanks: (x+ __) (x+ __) for both equations. :)
