letter writing Amit from Hyderabad has got admission to a college in Bangalore. he has to share his room with another boy. when he arrives at the hostel he learns that his room mate has gone home for a few days. based on his observations of the room, Amit writes a letter to his friend, Sumit, about his new room mate.

Since the roommate is gone, his letter would have to be based solely on what is in the room. Did the roommate unpack, or leave everything in boxes? Is the room messy? What sort of decorations did the roommate put up, if any? All of these are good insights into the personality of the roommate and also good things that Amit could have written about him. Hope this helps!

Well, this is a letter to a friend, so it will be very informal. In the top right corner of the page, someone will usually write the date the letter was written. After that, on the left of the page they will write a salutation, usually Dear ____, The letter would start with a greeting, and an introduction into the subject. Amit would probably say hello and talk about moving into his new dorm. Next he would talk about what he saw in the room and what he thought of his roommate because of it. The final paragraph would ask questions of the recipient of the letter. They could be about the roommate or just something as simple as how the recipient's family is doing. At the end of the letter would be the closing. For an informal letter like this, it would probably be Your friend, skip a line, Amit. |dw:1397396237708:dw| That is a rough example of the formatting of the letter. Remember, it is informal, so it doesn't have to be perfect. Hope this helps!
