How to solve a system of equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show equations

OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

x-3y=4 2x+y=8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

firstly multiply 2 in equation 1st ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will get 2x-6y=4 2x+y=8 then subtract this equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-7y=-4 will remain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then y=-4/7 then put value of y in any equation you will get your ans of x ok

OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

And the four in equation one?

OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):

isnt it become 8

OpenStudy (danielbarriosr1):
