OpenStudy (anonymous):

|x − 0.525| = 0.01

OpenStudy (hoblos):

in general if |x-a| = b, then x-a = b OR x-a = -b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still confeused

OpenStudy (paki):

x-0.525= 0.01 and x-0.525= -0.01 now solve for "x"

OpenStudy (hoblos):

the absolute value of a number is it's positive value example: |2| = 2 and also |-2| = 2 thus |a| = a if a is positive and |a| = -a -f a is negative here we have |x − 0.525| = 0.01 so there are two solutions either x − 0.525 = 0.01 (you have to solve for x) or x − 0.525 = -0.01 (you have to solve for x)
