= 2x ln x + 9,

Hi what's the full equation?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you are asked to write 2x ln(x + 9) as a single log, right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = 2x ln x + 9, [1, 2] Find all points c satisfying the conclusion of the MVT for the following function and interval

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use a ln(x) = ln(x^a) here I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mean value theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just plug in 2 and 1, find the slope between them (i.e. the difference between f(1) and f(2)). Then derive the function and solve for the aformentioned slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just to clarify, you'd want f(2)-f(1)/2-1 or vice versa, please don't mix them up.

i did it, thanks guys
