You walk 2 miles in 12 hour. At that rate, how long will it take you to walk 3 miles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18 becaue 2 miles divided by 12 hours gives you 1/6 mph and at that rate it will take you 18 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12+6=18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its wrong AGAIN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it's not because i just double checked my math you walk at 1/6 mph becaue 2 miles in 12 hours and 1/6*18 is 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18 hours gimme a medal im right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'ts 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i typed it in and said it was wrong this is why I hate think through math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18 because your mph rate for 2 miles in 12 hours means that you walked one mile in 6 hours so you take your 6 and times it by 3 giving you 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kkitch is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everyone so far is right lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 miles = 6 hours 3 X 6 =|dw:1397432648610:dw|
