The question to ask yourself is this: what is the variable that represents the horizontal axis?
The friends
is that a numerical variable? ie a quantitative variable?
I dont know what either of those words means >.<
well a variable could be numerical (ie it can have a number, like x = 2) but a variable could also be categorical, for instance, in this case the variable is the friend's names so x = george or x = tony or something like that
because we're talking about names, it doesn't make sense to make them numerical, so we don't have quantitative variable for the names So we're dealing with a categorical x variable
which means a bar graph will be used because a histogram is only used if the x variable is a continuous numeric variable
