Brianna and her sister each have a savings account and they each owe money to a credit account company. Brianna owes $1,660 while her sister owes $2,136. "If you give me just 15% of your savings, I can combine it with my savings and pay off my debt," Brianna said. Her sister replied, "If you give me just 10% of your saving, I can combine it with my savings and pay of my debt." How much money is in Brianna's savings account?
First you need to see that first you want to get rid of the higher number (maybe). But you need to find 10% of 1,660 (166 is the answer to that dx). So you will subtract 166 from 2,136 (1970 should be around the answer dx). Next you take 15% from 1,970 (295.5 should be the answer you get about dx). And then take the 166 from the 10% of 1,660 and subtract dx(1494 is about the right number). Next you have to take subtract 295.5 from 1,970 and get about 1674.5; and then you take 1494 from 1674.5 and finally get your answer of $180.5 :)
AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH MONI, I will try to write that in my worksheet dx
