trade and problems faced by Tamils in Sri lanka
During medieval times Raja Raja Chola I ruled the throne , the problems during his ruling was Tamil people being traded , imprisoned and killed. They faced invasions. More recently there was the Sri lanka Civil war , this killed tens of thousands of people , resulting in decrease of population they had hard time getting resources and to top it off in 2004 they faced a tsunami , whipping out Sri Lanka .
I need to finish the trade part , but was that okay for the conflicts?
Okay on to trade , around 206 bc they invented something called silk roads this connected the east and west coast , this increased trade because they took great interest in the safety of their products , also it opened up long distances so the tamil people thought this as a great advantage to get different goods and resources. Also look at where Sri Lanka is located , its an island so they had a lot of ports for trade ships.
So overall there trade was victorious
i think i could get a few things on trade with its neighbors , gimme a sec
Well Sri lanka traded with their neighbors tea , coffee , coconuts , rubber and Cinnamon. Sri Lanka receives tea and garments from their neighbors. There has been minimal conflict which is why Sri Lanka's trade is worth 60 billion .
sorry i dont know this
