Well, the end of the war created a new set of problems for the Allies as the West came into conflict with the Soviet Union relating to the cold war.The Cold War was a sustained state of political and military tension between powers in the Western Bloc (the United States with NATO and others) and powers in the Eastern Bloc (the Soviet Union and its allies in Warsaw Pact). The first phase of the Cold War began in the aftermath of the end of the Second World War.This in turn led to the formal dissolution of the USSR in December 1991 and the collapse of Communist regimes in other countries such as Mongolia, Cambodia and South Yemen. The United States remained as the world's only superpower. The Cold War and its events have left a significant legacy, and it is often referred to in popular culture,Exspecially in media:)) Hope it helps:))
