Help please? Too stuck! Medal given for whoever helps best! Amelia is planning the trajectory of her next flight using the altitude and distance from Paris, France. She has determined her function to be f(x) = -4x + 102. Based on the situation above, describe any necessary restrictions to the domain and range. Provide justification for the restrictions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, the domain is the limit of x values (the input value) while the range is the limit of the y value (the output value).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a function that describes the distance to Paris while in a flight, would part of the function would not make sense to have in it? Since the function is currently pretty much unlimited from minus infinity to infinity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nunulovee if you have a function from negative infinity until positive infinity, while you only want to describe the distance till you reach paris. Which part of that function would be too much information?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the negative 4x? I'm sorry, I'm really confused :s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, for example, once you arrived at paris, it would not make sense to continue counting the distance to paris, does it?
