x+y+3z=-4
2x -z=-3
-x-y-2z=5

is your 2nd equation written correctly ? Is there supposed to be a y term ?

Add #1 and #3 together. x and y subtract out. z = 1 by inspection.
Then work on #2. With z = 1, x = -1
