Which contributed to the Spanish overthrow of the Aztec and Inca civilizations? The Aztec and Inca hierarchical societies enabled the Spanish to easily replace their leaders. The Spanish established missions throughout Mexico and Central America. The Spanish developed a system of labor in which Native Americans worked their plantations.

The spanish were so easily able to conquer the native peoples of the Mesoamerican regions because of several advantages. First the diseases that the conquistadors brought over wiped out over half of the native peoples in Mexico city. Second they had steel weapons, steel armor, gunpowder muskets and cannons, and horses; these all played huge role in the warfare that occurred between the conquistadors and the natives, the gunpowder and horses were a huge physiological advantage. Third the Aztecs were hated by all of the surrounding natives and they swarmed to Cortes because they wanted to see the Aztecs fall and also because they thought that Cortes was a god, the serpent one. fourth the Aztecs fought to capture not kill which would also play an important part of the fighting. And last to answer your question about the Incas, it was because they were already falling apart as an empire and the roads from all of the towns and cities inside the Incan empire lead directly to the capital which if taken would decentralize the entire empire.
