its either B. or C.

It is iron. As larger stars get nearer to the end of their lives, they have to fuse heavier and heavier elements, until they reach iron. At this point, there is no real fuel left for it to withstand gravity. It then implodes in on itself and then explodes outwards in a supernova. Afterwards there is either an incredibly dense neutron star, which spins hundreds of times per second and has some insane electromagnetic fields. Or it turns into a black hole.
