the factors of 2y2 - 2y - 4?

hero (hero):

Is there something common to each term? If so factor that out first. Then perform "reverse FOILING"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whats that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im in 7th grade and im in the advanced classes but i dont get it im sorry!

hero (hero):

Reverse FOILING is a method of factoring a quadratic polynomial to a product of two binomials

hero (hero):

For example \(x^2 + 5x + 6 = (x + 2)(x + 3)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I see!!!

hero (hero):

\((x + 2)(x + 3)\) was found by "reverse FOILING"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank u! I have worked it out! :)) Bye! HAve a great day!

hero (hero):

Wait..How do I know you have done it correctly? You should post your work
