I'm going with the same answer as the last time this problem was presented, here. The information provided is incorrect. The formula given is for the accumulation of a single payment and CANNOT be used to represent a monthly loan payment. It certainly does not contribute to understanding the complex amortization of a car loan. Please go talk to the author of the problem statement and have them fix it. Otherwise, it CANNOT be solved. It is not a matter of not being clever enough or not understanding the problem. The WRONG formula is given.
