Who started WW1?

Technically Gavrilo Pincip started WWI with the killing of Archduke Ferdinand. The killing of Archduke Ferdinand caused the Austro-Hungarian Empire to declare war on Serbia, Serbia then pleads to Russia for help, now Germany is freaking out because in their minds, there is no way out of the conflict with Russia bordering them. Germany then invades Belgium and France, dragging those two countries into the war, The UK seeing what was happening decided to join the war with 75,000 riflemen. Just a brief synopsis of the beginnings of the war. In the end, technically Germany started the "world war" in the "world" sense.
